Child care workers in Nova Scotia have been undervalued and underpaid for far too long. The time is now to win recognition through fair wages, benefits and working conditions!
As child care workers and early childhood educators, we know how important our work is for young children to develop and communities to prosper. When our work is supported and our working conditions are positive, children and families thrive.
Across the country, over 12,000 child care workers like you – including educators, assistants, cooks and cleaners – are united through CUPE. Through CUPE, we are advocating for higher wages, better pensions and benefits, job security, and real solutions to the child care crisis. As CUPE members, we are fighting not only for ourselves at each centre, but for the rights, wages, and respect for workers across our entire sector. By uniting more child care workers through CUPE, we are working to create a stronger voice to win higher standards at work.
